Galatians 5:14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
In November 2016, Harvest of Hope Food pantry served 741 families which comprised:
- 2036 individual family members
- 752 persons under the age of 19
- 999 persons over the age of 65
Who comes to the emergency food pantry?
- Senior citizens, working individuals, unemployed, the disabled, those living on the street who are homeless, and/or anyone who lives in Sumter County and whose monthly income for ALL WHO LIVE IN THE HOUSEHOLD is under the Federal poverty limit.

Guidelines
Harvest of Hope Food Pantry is an emergency food pantry for citizens of Sumter County. Eligibility is based upon individual need using Federal Goverment guidelines.
The person applying for food must present a valid PHOTO I.D.
Applicant is interviewed by a volunteer who verifies name and address, number people living in the household, and total income of ALL PEOPLE LIVING in the household. ONLY ONE PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD CAN APPLY FOR AND RECEIVE FOOD. Food can be received once per month per household.
